Reading

Where can I take the IELTS Mock Test?
IELTS mock tests help assess your ability to attempt the examination. Along with IELTS coaching, also allows competitors to test their abilities with the help of free mock tests. IELTS Score and Band
IELTS scores range between 0 to 9. Also, you will get scores with .5, such as 7.5, 8.5, etc. You will get a band score for listening, writing, reading, and speaking sections (from 0 to 9) for each. The overall band score is calculated as the average of all the scores.
The IELTS band score is calculated by
- The total band score was calculated by taking the mean of all 4 sections. For example, if you get Listening: 7, Reading: 7.5, writing: 8, and speaking: 7.5 scores, then the overall score will be 7.5 bands.
- If your score ends with .25, the band score is rounded up to .5. That is, if your score is 7.25, it will be rounded off to 7.5.
- If your score ends with .75, the band score is rounded to the whole band. If your score is 7.75, it will be rounded to 8.
- If the score is below .25 or .75, then the score is rounded down. If your score is 7.21, then it will be rounded off to 7 bands.
IELTS Score Chart
Students or migrants must score an IELTS score depending on the requirements of the migrating country/university. The ideal IELTS score should be above 7 bands. 7 bands indicate a Good score. The chances are high to get shortlisted by international universities if you score more than 7 bands.

IELTS Test
There are two types of IELTS tests. Applicants must choose their test based on their immediate purpose for applying.
IELTS Academic

IELTS General Training Test

IELTS Types

The Listening and Speaking tests are the same for IELTS General Training and IELTS Academic.

IELTS General Training
For work overseas or migrate overseas
The IELTS General Training test is for those applying to study below degree level. The test might also be taken for employment training or work experience.
IELTS General Training test scores are required for migration to the United Kingdom, Canada, Australia, and New Zealand.
IELTS General Training test features skills in the English language that an individual will need in the workplace and other social environments.

IELTS Validity

IELTS Eligibility
